Some schools have developed their own ways of keeping track of their Teddy Talk and Big Bear Banter sessions, but just in case you haven’t done so yet, here are some record sheets to keep track of sessions that are taking place for Teddy Talk and Big Bear Banter.

Teddy Talk has a new style so have a look at the table (click on the link to go straight there) and choose a topic.
We have organised the table in a suggested order .. the first being suitable for pupils new to English and the latter ones for pupils working towards greater fluency.
There are also lots of new topics that have been added (apparently you say a sloth or a sleuth of bears so this is a sleuth of new Teddy Talks!):-
Family – My mum, my dad and me
Four Seasons – Un-Brella
Minibeasts – Mad About Minibeasts
Transport – Big Red Bus (a change from Mr Gumpy’s Transport
People Who Help Us
Pirates – Ten Little Pirates
Animals and Habitats – Walking in the Jungle
Chinese New Year – The Great Race
If you develop your own topics do let us know and we can add these too!
It’s Christmas Time has been added to the Teddy Talk Table (click on link to access).
It contains a Teddy Talk Plan, Christmas themed flashcards for you to use in a Teddy Talk session.
Ho ho ho!
A Nativity Teddy Talk has been added to the Teddy Talk Post.
Open the Teddy Talk post from the link above and then download the resources you need.
Here are a couple of audio files with the Hello and Goodbye songs that are used in Teddy Talk session.
Use any song, but it’s important to include names and ask how they are:
Hello, hello, how are you? Piotr, Piotr
Hello, hello, how are you? How are you today?
(Wait for a response, thumbs “I’m good” or thumbs down “I’m not good”)
Goodbye Song (to the tune of Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush)
Now it’s time to say goodbye, say goodbye, say goodbye
Now it’s time to say goodbye, goodbye Piotr (or you could use the name of the objects going back into the bag)
Kodaly Hello Song
These songs have been slightly adapted from the songs used in Kodaly sessions. If you slap your knees and then clap your hands to the beat this is good for rhythm development too.
